Learning Technology Standards

Industry standards serve two purposes:

  1. Interoperability standards - allow multiple systems to work together without needing custom-built interfaces.
  2. Quality standards - set a bar against which to evaluate organisations and their processes.

For inclusion in the list below, the standard must play some part in a learning technology ecosystem, such as the one illustrated.

Flow chart that illustrates the relationship between: identity provider, face-to-face events, communities of practice, courses, knowledge base, assessment and certification, operational systems and analytics.
